The metallurgical industry undertakes the task of driving the green and low-carbon iterative upgrading of heavy industry, and is an important pillar supporting the development of the national economy. New materials are important guaranteesfor the pilot industries of the national economy and high-end manufacturing and defense industries, and are the focus of international strategic competition in the world. Promoting the green and low-carbon transformation of energy and strategic resource bases is an inevitable choice to followthenew path of high-quality development that gives priority to ecology and is guided by green development. The 2023 Silk Road InternationalConferenceon the Cooperation and Integration of Industry, Education, Research and ApplicationofGreen Metallurgy and New Materials,with the theme of "Green Metallurgy and New materials", will focus on industrial demand, social and economic development and scientific and technological innovation to carry out in-depth cooperation, invite well-known academicians, experts and scholarsat home and abroad to deliver reports, and conduct academic exchanges and discussions so as to build a platform for international academic exchanges and cooperation between domestic and foreign industry, university and research.
